High Gabriel Water Supply Corporation Highway 183A Construction Project - 2006 In sweltering heat, Terry Tuttle and Merv Lind connect the Riva Ridge underground valve assembly to the 6-inch water line coming up the hill from South Gabriel Drive. The daily mid-August high temperatures during this project averaged around 103 degrees F. An additional section of pipe was installed in a trench going east to be used for future improved capacity to customers along Riva Ridge Drive. A layer of sand is used in the bottom of the trenches to support the pipes.
